DO YOU HAVE SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE WITHIN CHILDREN SERVICES? Helping Families SOCIAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR HARDIN COUNTY JOB AND FAMILY SERVICES IS CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED CHILDREN SERVICES UNIT SUPERVISOR Our Social Services Unit currently has a staff of 13. The supervisor would primarily be responsible for working directly with social service workers in assigning caseloads and maintaining compliance. Assist in organizing and directing the development, planning, and implementation of all programs within social services. Perform direct and indirect supervisory functions, research analyze and implement policies and procedures to assure the agency conforms to federal, state and local policies and procedures. Works with both children and families identified to be "at risk". Teaches learning and problem-solving strategies, behavioral skills, social skills, and anger management. Works with parents on adult development strategies. Provides or arranges for intense services for children identified as high risk. Hardin county is a smaller agency, the supervisor could also assist in preparation of cases for court and perform dient services investigative duties. Applicants should possess a strong work ethic, have strong knowledge of CAPMIS, SACWIS, and the ability to implement standards of the child welfare program through ODJFS best practices specific to CPOE reviews. Be able to balance program, personnel and external issues. Ability to problem solve and develop policies for effectiveness. Collaborating and building strong positive relationships that inspire change to diverse families and community partners is vital. Prior experience with data imaging system is a plus. A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Social Work or related field or equivalent experience required. At least two (2) years'experience working in children services a plus Hardin county is primarily an agricultural area located in NW Ohio, with a population over 32,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
